Nickel City is the only family entertainment center in San Diego that operates on Nickels. We have been providing entertainment services for day camps, school outings, and various other organizations for over 20 years. Nickel City is the perfect place for school groups, day camps, civic associations, church groups, and other organizations because of its clean, friendly atmosphere and its ability to provide fun on a budget for large groups, come rain or shine.
We are very aware that budgets are tight so we offer group rates of $1.75 per child. Busloads are welcome – we can accommodate nearly 250 people. We offer a clean and safe environment, with 24 hour recorded surveillance, separate men’s and women’s restrooms, and one entry / exit (other exits are armed security doors).
Our games include redemption ticket games, driving simulators, dance and music games, skeeball as well as some shooting games. Each game is marked with audience appropriate warnings and the more violent games are located in one secluded area to enhance the family entertainment value of the arcade. There are age appropriate toys as well as a selection of wrapped candy available for redemption at the prize counter.
